I am writing to thank you very much for your recent generous donation of £250.50 to the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust, made through the Just Giving website, from donations made at your Christmas concert in Marnhull village hall. Thank you so much for supporting our charity. Each donation helps make a difference to local cancer patients and we thank you on their behalf. For your information the Trust has recently pledged £250,000 to cancer services at Dorset County Hospital. This includes the purchase of investigative equipment for lung cancer patients and the funding of a Chemotherapy at Home nurse for an initial period of two years, with a view to continuing funding in the future. It also includes a contribution to the refurbishment of the pharmacy on the Fortuneswell Unit. The Trust continues to fund the reflexology service offered on the Unit and to provide funding for specialist equipment for nurses. In addition, the Chemotherapy Outreach Service at Bridport Hospital, funded in part by the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust, has recently opened. The Fortuneswell Cancer Trust is run by volunteers and this helps keep our operational costs to a minimum so that the maximum amount of funds donated can be used where they are needed. Once again please accept our grateful thanks for your support. As you have indicated you will be happy to have future contact from us, I have added your name to our Supporters database. Best wishes Marjorie Brewer Joint Honorary Secretary Fortuneswell Cancer Trust
